Anouncement: As of May 16/2011 the "Blue Carabao" Eatery located on Sobrecarey St,BO,Obrero,will be closed permanently.We started the "Blue Carabao" to provide good jobs for Filipinos which we have acheived due to the support of so many people,both local and foreign visitors.
Our lease for the spaces we rent for the "Blue Carabao Eatery" expire on May 31/2011 and we have been informed that the space rental fee we now pay {P24,000} will increase to P40,000 which makes it impossible to pay legal wage and benefits to our employees and still offer our food at some of the most affordable prices in Davao City.
So we have no choice but to close the "Blue Carabao Eatery" which will result in the loss of at least 10 to 12 full time jobs.
The person who owns the spaces we rent,see that we have many customer and has come to the conclusion that we,the owners of the business are making a fortune.The reality is that most people share their meals with two or three other people as times are hard and everything is getting very expensive for the average person in the Philippines. We,the owners of the "Blue Carabao" seen the writting on the wall over a year ago as our business neighbors took some huge rental increases,so we looked for another location so that we would have an alternative for customers .
We found that location and named it the "Blue Carabao Diner". It is a great improvement over the eatery and offers a far more comfortable enviroment in which to enjoy one's meal.So we invite everyone to the only location that there ever will be for the "Blue Carabao" and that is on the corner oF Magsaysay and Alvarez St,just look for the big blue building. www.wiki-maps.com/davao/lid/blue-carabao-diner
As of May 16/2011 , we will have the same hours of operation as what was at the eatery,namely 6am to 10pm - 7 days a week.
We have no TV on the wall or radio playing in a corner. We want people to relax and enjoy the social enviroment provided at the Blue Carabao. We hope you visit us and experience the food and atmosphere for yourself. We hope you enjoy the food enough to tell others about it, if not, please tell us and we will work hard to satisfy "you."
